No answers for “”.
Try a single word, like “Npcap” or “fullscreen”. If you cannot find it, send the question through Contact.
Send my questionSecurityCan I get banned for using it?
AionCore does not read the game's memory, does not inject code and does not send commands. It only reads the packets that already arrive at your PC and the game window title. Even so, no third-party meter is officially approved: use it in line with the game's terms.
SecurityMy antivirus flagged the installer. Is it a virus?
No. The program does not have a signing certificate yet, so some antivirus programs distrust any new file. Check the SHA-256 on the Download page.
InstallWhy does it need Npcap?
Npcap is the driver that lets a program see network traffic on Windows. It is the same one Wireshark uses.
InstallWhy does it ask for administrator rights?
The AionCore installer does not ask for administrator rights: it installs only for your user. Npcap's installer does, because it installs a driver. AionCore opens without administrator rights; in Settings, Open AionCore as administrator (Windows asks for permission) lets the hide-in-game-menus feature read the Alt and Esc keys, only those two. If Npcap is restricted to administrators, the meter offers Reopen as administrator, for that launch only; to avoid needing it, install Npcap without restricting the driver to administrators.
InstallDoes it work on Windows 7 or 32-bit?
No. Only Windows 10 (version 1809 or newer) and 11, 64-bit.
MeterDoes it work with the game in fullscreen?
In borderless window mode, yes. In exclusive fullscreen, Windows does not let anything appear on top of the game.
MeterDoes it show damage from people not in my party?
On the scope button, choose Me, Party or Raid. Me shows only you; Party, you and your party, when the game reports who is in it; Raid, the raid. Anyone who hits nearby and is not in the party is not included. The window border changes color depending on the scope.
MeterThe number is different from the game's log.
Damage over time arrives as a lump sum every 3 s and targets far from you are not seen. The Accuracy page explains each case.
MeterCan I use it with a VPN or a game booster?
Sometimes. Some change the network route and the meter does not see the fight. Reinstall Npcap with Support loopback traffic checked, then look at Settings › Help and diagnostics › Capture health.
FightsWhere are my fights stored?
In an AionCore folder, on your PC (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\AionCore\resources\dps-meter). They appear in the app's history.
FightsHow do I share a fight?
In the history, open the fight and choose Send to the site, then Create link to share. For this, the meter must be connected to your account through Discord, and you accept the list of what is sent. The link can be deleted whenever you want.
SupportDo I need to pay to use it?
No. Everything the app does today is free and will stay free. Supporters get new features first and some supporter-only features, like the meter's color themes.
SupportDoes support renew automatically?
No. Support is a single payment of USD 15 per year, paid on Ko-fi through the shop item or through the donation option with USD 15 or more, with no automatic charge. You get a supporter code by email that is valid for 12 months.
SecurityWhy does AionCore read network traffic?
Because that is where the numbers come from: the game sends your PC the hits, the monsters’ health and the character’s counters, and AionCore only reads what already arrives. It does not read the game’s memory, inject code or send commands. The new screens use the same path and read more kinds of game messages. What stays on your PC is on the Privacy page.
MeterWhat does the pet radar do, and what does it not do?
It does: it lists the monsters near you that drop souls for pets you still need, with an approximate distance when the game reported your position recently. It does not: it cannot see monsters the game did not send to your PC, it does not show where they will spawn, it does not look in dungeons and it does not play for you. It comes switched off and needs pet reading switched on, in Settings › Help and diagnostics.
MeterWhat do “Read from the game” and “Manual” mean in the checklist?
“Read from the game” means the number came from a message from the game itself, and the tag shows the time of the reading. “Manual” means AionCore does not read that task yet: you tick the box, and the app does not tick it for you. Today only some tasks are read; you tick the others yourself.
InstallDo the new screens need administrator rights?
No. AionCore’s administrator mode is optional and comes switched off, and none of the new screens depends on it. It only comes into play if you switch it on in Settings › General (Windows asks you to confirm) or use the Reopen as administrator button, which appears when Npcap is restricted. Only the In the game menus option, which comes switched off, may need it to tell when the game cursor appears.
InstallDoes the bar appear with the game in fullscreen?
In borderless window mode, yes. In exclusive fullscreen, Windows does not let any window appear on top of the game, so the bar, the meter and the radar do not show. Use borderless window mode.
FightsHow do I join the ranking?
With an account, the fights you upload that meet the rules enter the ranking with the whole group, and you appear with your character name. That starts on; you change it in My account or in the meter.
FightsWhat of me appears in the ranking?
The class, the combat power (the exact number), the DPS, the duration, the party size, the day, the verification badge and the character name, with the declared label. If you hide your name, nobody sees the name, not even supporters, but the class, the combat power and the DPS stay visible, and people who play with you may recognize you by them. The name of the account you sign in with and the server never show. With an account, your fight details also show (highest-damage skills, DPS curve, crit and healing per second); they start on, hiding your name does not turn them off, and you turn them off in My account. The details also include the timeline of your skills and of the buffs and debuffs, without names: whoever cast a buff shows by class, without the name.
FightsHow do I hide my name or leave the ranking?
In My account: No public name leaves you with no name for everyone; Leave the ranking keeps the class, the combat power and the DPS, with no name; Remove from ranking deletes your rows and the stored name. In the meter, you hide your name or leave. Without an account, use the form Hide or remove a character from the ranking, on /ranking. All of it is free, and the public board may take up to 10 minutes to update. To remove only your fight details (skills, DPS curve, crit and healing per second), turn off Show my fight details in My account. Turning off the details also removes the skill and buff timeline.
FightsAre the ranking's numbers checked?
They are self-reported. The Verified by N badge shows that the fight existed with those numbers, because other accounts uploaded the same fight, not that AionCore checked it against the game or whose each slot is, and two colluding accounts can fool it. See the Accuracy page.
FightsI do not use AionCore. Why is my character on the ranking?
Because someone in your group uploaded the fight, and the ranking shows the whole group. To the public, you show with no name, with the class, the combat power and the DPS: a name only shows when the person has an account and chose to appear. To hide the name from everyone or leave, use the form on /ranking, with region, server and name, with no account and no proof. If an account that uses AionCore sent an inspection of your character, the reading is kept but not shown, and the same form erases it.
FightsDo AionCore supporters see the names of teammates without an account?
No. A name on the ranking only shows when the person has an AionCore account and chose to appear, the same for everyone, supporters included. Supporting does not give access to the name of anyone without an account.
FightsI am under 18. Can I use it?
No. Aion 2 is rated 18 in Brazil, and AionCore follows the same rule. If your character showed up on the ranking, you or a parent or guardian can hide the name and ask for it to be removed with the form on /ranking.
FightsWhat is the public profile and how do I turn it off?
It is one page per character, with the name, the class, since when you have been on AionCore, the totals, the highlights by boss, with the combat power when available, and the recent fights. People with an account who show their name have a profile, and it starts on; someone without an account has no profile, even if an account that uses AionCore inspected the character. To take it down, turn off Show my public profile in My account: it is free, it applies to everyone and you stay on the ranking. No public name also takes the profile down, and, without an account, the form on /ranking. Anyone who opens the address of a profile that is off sees the same profile-not-found page.
FightsDo supporters show with a badge? Can I hide it?
Yes. With the code linked to the site account, the supporter badge shows next to the character's name on the ranking and on the public profile, with the years of support and the month and year the person started supporting. The amount and the payment dates stay out. The badge starts on, and you can hide it in My account, for free, for everyone.
FightsI do not use AionCore. Does my character show up on the site?
On the DPS ranking, yes, when someone in your group uploads the fight: you show with no name, with the class, the combat power and the DPS. There is no public page with your name unless you create an account and show your name: if someone who uses AionCore inspected your character in the game (sending inspections is on by default in the meter), the reading is kept but not shown and is erased 180 days after the last reading. To erase it sooner, use the form on /ranking, with region, server and name, with no account and no proof: the request erases the readings with that name. If the character changes name in the game, you need to ask again.
FightsDoes my build show on the profile?
Only if Publish my build is on. On a new account created through the first-run notice, the option comes checked in that notice and only turns on when you press Connect; you can uncheck it there. On an account that already existed, it starts off. The build only comes from your own meter: nobody publishes another character's build, because the game does not show it in the inspection. Turning it off, in the meter or in My account, erases the build from the site right away.
